Every October right before Columbus day there is a Lucky 13.

 

What is that you ask? 

 

The Lucky 13 is a party.  (Look for your email Invite! Or email us! (We probably don't have all the email addresses we need....)

 

AND, of course, a golf tournament over a bunch of mowed fairways and crop circles over hills that, with a little imagination, becomes a redneck ad-hoc golf course over 27 acres called “Scottsland on Hughesville.”

 

13 Holes.... Maybe.... Depends. 

 

Anyway, we blast music out on the green, and enjoy the day as our beverage truck(s) follow us around the course.  Yes, there is a trophy for the winner. The course is mowed, but rough & challenging. Luckily, the holes are larger to compensate (flower pots sunk in the ground). Spectators are welcome and may enjoy many non-golf festivities like corn hole, cupcake decorating, horseshoes, etc... or, just wander around the course with a good buzz on — we're not your judge. You could sample (good) wines from our cellar at Nancy's Whine Bar. Of course there will be some sort of special wine tasting. There will be fried chicken for lunch and our famous Low Country Boil when the golfing is done. There'll probably be cigars and guitars around the fire-pit.  Might be a dance party. Who knows.

 

There will be local transportation for those who are "into the sherry."  We care for our guests.  

 

Oh, and Funny Hats, Kilts and Muttonchops are optional for golfing. (Colorful dress is always appreciated). 

 

Listen, there are worse ways to spend a weekend. Trust us on this.
